It looks great, Ron. I agree with the others about the Hancock Green; it's an excellent color for all seasons. Off to look up Elmira stoves now!

Upper management is happy with how it turned out, and that’s all that matters. What’s left to do (that have to do), get the skirting all painted up and installed, remove the door knobs and such and get the restored and re installed, and install the tile back splash behind the stove.

It's looking very nice. I'm unfamiliar with white granite. It looks like marble at first glance. I've read that marble is a less than ideal counter surface as it is porous, soft and stains easily. This looks like a wise substitute.
Boy, I bet that slab really weighs a LOT.

Hi Willa, I said the same thing when the fellows pulled in, thought it was marble. They assured me it’s granite. And yes it is a very large slab, it my understanding they had a hard time finding a raw slab to cut it out of in one piece. And yes it’s extremely heavy, took four rather large stone guys to move and install. I could feel my back getting sore just watching them.

I would have major anxiety about all the measurements being correct, though I suppose it would be cheaper to get a plumber to move the pipes than re-cut a slab like that !
