Welcome back, just put on a fresh pot of tea. Grab your cup, I'll show you what I have started on. Thought I'd start on the windows on the north side of the home.

The stormed are in bad shape and need restoring. The glazing in the one over one, is original wavy glass as well as many of the panes in the storms.
Some details of the frame. I had to realy look to find the seams for the pocket access. Just amazed at how well built the windows are.

Here is the finished product, two windows down.

This project also gave me the opertunity for some paint discovery. This colour was the original paint. On top of this there was an olive green and several coats of white over the green.
Image
The darker spot on my test piece is a paint chip removed from the back side of the window frame at the meeting rail.

Welcome back, glad you stopped by. Let me show you what we've been up to since your last visit.
We have most of the windows done on the NE side of the home. They all now work and balanced on their pocket weights. I did not need to install any weather stripping, they all fit so snug they passed the smoke test with barely a flutter.
Image
You may have have noticed the ugly conduit has gone. Spent some serious coin and buried the electricity and upgraded to 200amp.
Image
The original was an old 50 amp box with lots of unsafe bypassing and fiddling. It looked like a rats nest glad it's gone.
Also upgraded the furnace to a 98% Trane unit. Got lucky here, the load calculations just came to the rating of their largest unit. No need for two furnaces. Just look at the size difference between the old and the new. That old unit also actually met the lowed requirements.

Vined porch, thanks. Upper management did the gardens, she'll be happy to hear that.
