Thought. Would post a bit of an update on the bathroom project.
We found a light for over the sink, about the same period as the pan light, we also found a shade that matched the pan light.
Still slacking a bit on this project, just can’t seem to get the motivation going. Our wall paper arrived, sent it back. It was far to busy a pattern once we had in in hand. Glad Amazon has a no fuss return policy. So the search continues.

It does fit the time period we are looking to replicate. The bonus is finding a shade to match the an light. We now have a period slag glass shade to sell off.

I've always wanted a 20497791-61EB-46B5-BCDD-E05CFA4916D6. It looks grate (nyuk, nyuk), like it's always been there.

James, you just don’t know the lengths I went to to find a pair of 20497791-61EB-46B5-BCDD-E05CFA4916D6 floor grates
Is that what showed up in place of my picture on your screen?

The photo was visible (that's how I know it looks like it's always been there); 20497791-61EB-46B5-BCDD-E05CFA4916D6 is the label that was given to it by the photo gallery.
I look forward to your spiffification. Are they brass?

James, no cast iron, they did have a brass coloured finish on the surround when new cast iron black for the grill. I was planning on replicating that new look but the natural patina just looks so good. I think I’ll sit on it for a while before making a descision.

Either way would be a great choice, love the cast scrollwork! Maybe just a rub down with some linseed oil to bring out the colour and give a matte sheen?
