Thanks James I think it came out OK. Found the tile a bit fussy to work with though, they. Come in sheets but I found that soon after placing them in the thin set the the glue securing the tile to the mesh backer would melt away, must be water based. Any how once that happens the individual tiles would come loose. Nothing though that could not be overcome.
I did get the grouting finished yesterday, so I will be on the tiling the wainscot.

The resaults of this past weekends work. Just have to seal the grout. Next up, installing the plumbing.

I love the selection of the tile. Absolutely beautiful.

I'm following your bathroom project with much interest. I need to re-start mine next year, so I am gleaning ideas from yours.

MJ, thanks, I think it came out ok for an amateur. Southernlady, good to see your name on the board. I will try not to disappoint in providing inspiration. How are things with you, well I hope.

An update on the bathroom project. The tub is in and the water connected.

The tub is an 1919 standard 5 1/2 foot I restored. The taps are reproduction from the sign of the crab company. I have the shower assembly but it came short a part so waiting for that to show up as well as longer tubes for mounting. The kit works for an eight foot ceiling not eleven foot. So all is good as long as you don’t turn the shower valve.

Ron, your bathroom project deserves the highest compliment a person can give for historic restoration: it looks like it's always been there.

Although I'm an infrequent bather, I appreciate the therapeutic benefits of a good soak. I can imagine a nice, leisurely bath on a warm summer night, with the sound of crickets coming through the open window.
