Re: my new old floor

so i finished my painting and kept thinking about weather I should put all the baseboards back or remove the cork and try to fix what's there. its kind of glued down but with some paper between and the glue is water soluble. an hour of being really wet seems to take it off. I pulled some of it up and got to the floor which is not perfect and it has been sanded before. I think I can give it a careful sanding and refinish but the thickness left is a bit of an issue. I can see the odd edge of a nail but of course I won't know the extent of the damage until it is all lifted.. I guess I couldn't resist. It will be nicer if the floor is done so it matches all the rest of the house.
