So nice! Is that the design called Eastlake? I'm still trying to learn all of this.

Bonnie, yes this is Eastlake. Eastlake lake is part of the Aesthetic movement, one of several styles of decoration from about 1850 to about 1900. Other styles in the Aesthetic movement include orienalizm and arabesque with a little East Indian thrown in. Sort of a having a bit of the exotic in your home.
From a fine arts view, the preraphalite painters were a big deal at that same time.
The guiding motto of the movement is “have nothing in your home that you bo not find useful or beautiful”.
Strangely enough the British Aesthetic movement leaned more to the simpler craftsman style. Charles Eastlake disowned American Eastlake style as gaudy.

We pulled a lot of Eastlake door hardware out of the 1890s house I helped salvage. No door knobs or bells, but numerous strike plates and door back plates.

I think Willliam Morris was part of the British Aesthetic movement as well?

That's quite a view.

I guess you can enjoy it while in the shower, too ?

There's no folks in the vicinity to view you viewing the view ?

Ops, looks like I crossed the line with my Greek statue picture. It has a fig leaf covering the bits, can’t see the problem.

Oh wow, that little bathroom is so cute! If you don't mind, what are the approximate measurements of the room? I really like that sink!

My upstairs "bathroom" currently consists of a 2.5' wide x 3' closet with just a toilet in it. (I call it The Throne.) If I take out the wall behind the toilet I will gain about another 2 feet in that direction so I want to close off the original doorway, move the doorway to the side, and add a sink.
