my kitchen was pink like that with green walls, 50's era reno. lowered ceiling.
drives me nuts that everything seems to come in a one use plastic container. as if the plastic is so cheap its free. and then when I need something , plant pot , garbage can etc it's expensive.
I often wonder if they could put a false value on plastic , like a dollar a pound tax paid when creating it , maybe then it could be used more wisely or recycled like we always did with pop bottles and cans. the false value keeps the recyclers picking them up for a little money.

we have huge recycle bins, it goes to recycle but I dont; know what they make from it all. I suspect most is never recycled. I think a lot goes to china.
