From the picture, those legs don't look like they were originally porcelained (some were and some weren't). I'd sand them smooth, then use a good automotive filler primer on them before painting.

It's so great you got the sink legs. I was looking on Ebay (during my drain crisis) and saw both porcelain enamelled and what appeared to be painted cast iron legs. There are places that do porcelain enamel but I have no idea how expensive that would be, but I suspect it would be a fair amount. Filled, primed and painted no one will know/care what the finish is.

That stove is a hoot! Thanks for sharing. We grew up with that exact stove, but in olive green. I still remember being fascinated by a cooktop that pulled out. Well, that and rolling the dishwasher across the room to hook it up to the sink.

Thanks!! I love the green Flairs. I have a real love of green anything though, haha.
Your stove is beautiful! Hopefully you can get it out of storage and into your home soon!! So fun!!

So I was catching up on my "Old House Dreams" e-mails, and then I saw this in the Walton's House.

Hah! I meant a Country Charm like ours.

Here's another shocker today, and in all the time I've looked at listings on that site, I've never seen a Country Charm even once, let alone in two listings!

It is connected to the exhaust fan that the stoves come with--the fan, not the stovepipe. It's in the breadwarming hood. Hmm. I can take a picture of mine...from below, the above. I meant to show the on/off switch in the above shot. It's on the side of the coffee grinder clock all Country Charm stoves have. You can sort of see the push button in the image from my last post, there on the left side of the grinder.
