Brother joining the club!

Post by bankeny »

My Brother and his family are closing today on their first house.
A beautiful 1890's Queen Anne Victorian!

With his permission... more pictures to come!

They are moving back "home" to rural Minnesota after several years of apartment living in Wisconsin.
We are excited to have them back in the area andreally happy they found a "classic" house to call home!

Yes, when he does join he will be invited to take a seat site down and have a tea. Interesting roof treatment on the tower. Would it be considered a true mansard or mansard'ish either way it looks a bit different than most I've seen.

Here's a few more pictures I nabbed from the realtor's site. So it's the PO's stuff still in the house!

Brent is more of a bird nut than an old house nut... but I'll be sure to point out all the great benefits of original windows and wood siding!

The inside of the house is fairly plain, so it's not a lavish victorian. There is no open staircase. The oak hardwood floors are only around the apron of the rooms with carpet covering the plywood in the centers.

Still a lovely home full of character!

What a great looking house...um...can you take a picture of the interior of that tower when you get a chance?

Looks like it could be Lurch's man cave up there.... 8-)
