OMG, what were they thinking, there was a little bit if every decade going on in your former room. I love your house and can't wait to see your progress.

After 8 days of working (13 in total) they are ready to pour the foundation. The photos aren't the best because I took them at night.

Thanks Cheryl, I've discovered that my mission is to get rid of the 50s, 60s, and 70s.

Day 9...we have a foundation. The outside of the gable is a bit naked.

Day 14 (of 22 total). Foundation and some plumbing done. Floor and some framing. The windows that are framed here will be over my old fashioned looking soaker tub. We're going to have to get the trees cut real soon!

Our contractors have been here for 20 of the last 34 days...not bad considering Christmas and New Years holidays. Yesterday the trusses were installed and the big hole in the wall will be the doorway to our new master bath.

Nlswitz, it is coming along nicely. I can see the contractor is not afraid to use up wood (not cheaping out), looks like a good sound building.

Gothichome, it might be building codes here in California. Last week one of the guys commented about how things have changed and that our addition probably has more wood than the rest of the house.
