So true, we don't have much wall space. I'm happy that I'm getting closer to the end of this big project...but I still have a long way to go.

After 18 months of working in my spare time (and in between other parts of the project) I'm pleased to say that I have finally finished stripping the wood! This is a major milestone and one for which I've been saving a bottle of my favorite wine. Cheers!

It's been quite the challenge to stain the new wood. This is after lots of work! The wood in the background is a combination of old, stripped wood and new wood that has some but not nearly enough stain.

Yesterday I finally finished all the stain. The crown molding is 100% done. And the cabinet doors and drawers have been re-fitted and so they open and close very nicely. I'm finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
