That sounds like a special year for you- how perfect. I know the linoleum look well, our countertops were covered in it when we moved into the house. Unfortunately they had set hot pans on it and made it blister and peel in areas. I was not successful in getting fond of it and replaced it with soapstone.
I rolled out my first pie crust on my worktop this morning- boy did that work slick.

Not a Hoosier but what's known as a Chatham cabinet. has bins for flour and all sorts of stuff. it could have been optioned out with lots of add on's. Most common would be a fold down end table section. But you could add a heavy mounting peice that would be used to mount your hand grinder, or a set of spice tins. Glass colour would be another option as well. the only option this cabinet has is the plate rack.
was wasting a bit of time on the net, found this add for the above mentioned cabinet. The add is for a cabinet with a full load. another item caught my eye, look how hard they are pushing the credit scheme in the text.

Beautiful, Gothichome!
P.S. After reading more about my Boone cabinet, I don't think it's the "Mary Boone" model. I think it may predate the three models with women's names -- Mary, Helen, and Dorothy. The "Mary Boone" was the top-of-the-line model with a built-in ironing board, desk, electrical outlets, and other features, and the "Helen" had similar extras. My Boone is only 41" wide but neither is it the smallest "Dorothy." The hunt for identification goes on!

Re: Hoosier style cabinets
Maybe it was made prior to the fire in the plant?
Re: Hoosier style cabinets
Here is my maybe Hoosier. We call it a Hoosier but I really have no idea what brand it is. It was in the house when we bought it and has been here since the 1920's. It needs to be refinished but other than that it is in really good shape.
This photo was taken in the kitchen before we moved in. It is the only room in the original structure that was ever painted.

Hey that's a beauty! How lucky to have something like that left in your house. Are you going to restore it?
Re: Hoosier style cabinets
Nettie, yes I will restore it. That will happen when the kitchen gets underway. Whenever that is. lol
