It finally happened! We had our hearts set on a particular old house for 5 years as we patiently waited for our 50's two bedroom rambler to sell. We are now the proud owners of a 1912 (ish) home that we look forward to raising our family (3 boys) in.
The carpenter built the house for himself and his wife and we are the 4th family to call it home. It's on a large corner lot and has plenty of room both inside and out!
Four bedrooms, pocket doors, oak floors, second staircase, a clawfoot foot bath, walk up attic (future man cave), and the list goes on! We love it!
I suppose I should ask the obligatory question.... What style is this house?
Thanks for looking!
Brandon

Thanks guys. The house is in south central Minnesota. Just a few miles from the Iowa border.
I'll add a few inside shots. There's an old set of doors in the attic that I believe used to separate the living room and dining room. I haven't found the trim or pocket door hardware. The Kitchen was redone in the 60's with new cabinets and floor to ceiling paneling! We're hoping some paint will brighten that room up a bit. We also moved the laundry up out of the dungeon and into the kitchen area. The kitchen was also expanded and a bathroom added in the 60's where the back porch used to be.
The plumbing is a good mix of galvanized, copper, and pex. The electrical is 100 amp fuses with some K&T and some newer (60's or 70's again... no ground) So some work to be done...
One room at a time!

Re: Hello from Minnesota
Any one have any clue what that foot bath might be worth? We don't plan on using it and it blocks the way to the closet. We might stick in in the front porch with a nice plant inside.... unless the thing is worth thousands!

Nice!
What do you want for your foot bath?

Not sure on that one Neighmond. It's been with the house for 100 years, so I'm not sure how we would feel parting with it. Of course everything has a price... I'm just not sure where that price is for the Wife and I on this one. Probably way more than it's worth!
Are they valuable? Hundreds? Thousands?

Foot bath? Never knew there was such a thing in old houses. That is conversation piece if nothing else!

Love the bank of wood cabinets in the kitchen! And the stairs and interesting curved hallway. Very nice home.
