It's not very pretty, but in my studio/office I use a large piece of horse mat from Rural King. It's about 1/2" thick, and it feels good underfoot. It does not hide dirt, though!

Very nice! Much better trim and flooring! That green is almost a Paris Green, a historical 19th century color.

Bungalove: The only new (but old looking) light fixtures that are authentic looking seem to be the ones offered by Rejuvenation Hardware, but brace your bank account, because they're pricey. I prefer antique fixtures. They're relatively cheap (this one was around 100$), very well made, and parts to rewire them are easy to find.
