Great house. Love the setting. Always good to say another Carolinian on here. Which Carolina, if you don't mind my asking?

Welcome. I don't know what an "I" house is. Yours looks to have parts and pieces stuck in different spots. I am looking for the "I."

Kansas, I had to wiki it. Turns it they're called I-houses because they're so common in Indiana, Illinois and Iowa.

I ran across the answer. Not only found in "I" states, they are skinny houses (like an "I"), one room deep. They are two stories and their wide side is to the road.
