Re: Locust Quarter
Those are still some, if not the best, before and after photos from either OHW or Wavy Glass.
Still one of my favorite houses on the site!
....Although 6'4" ceilings might bother me at 6'5".

Re: Locust Quarter
Thanks for the compliment. It is a dramatic change. But still a lot to do.
The 6 foot 4 ceilings not really a problem for me, but then I am only 5 foot 6.

Re: Locust Quarter
Found some old pictures of my house in a collection of pictures online from the local Library, appear to be from the 60's or 70's.

Re: Locust Quarter
Just popping through to look at these wonderful pictures again. Locust Quarter reminds me so much of my childhood. My grandparents' home was a 1790s cabin with a 1930s addition of a modest kitchen and tiny bathroom. No heat, no air, just a few naked bulbs for lighting--so many beautiful memories in that old place!
LQ, do you have any antique varieties of plants popping up around your house? I am always curious about such things with old homes and am interested in heritage plants, especially in NC, but I can't seem to find much of anything.
