I have been reading some of the post on here for some time now and thought I'd join.
I own a 1834 cobblestone in up state New York. Not to far from Lake Ontario, for the past 7 years. Like most thing it is taking a lot long then I thought it would to finish. In those 7 years I have learned a thing or two. The first being it will never be finished and the second. The house will win, so don't fight it. You have to work with it. In my case it has had 179 years to get set in her ways.

Your home looks great and and others have stated gives the feel of ' come on in the hot cider is waiting' I noticed the little drive in the foreground, is that part of an original lane ( long since paved)or just the driveway? Also if it's a lane you cellar doors open to the fringe.

The first thing I noticed was the incredible frieze board on your house, do you know if that is original along with the cornice returns?
