Farmhouse, glad you were able to work through the problems and will be the new owners. Look forward to hearing about your adventures in the dark unknown or more correctly the basement. Treasures may just abound under those cobwebs.

Re: Another OHW Transplant and a New-Old House (1851)
There have been some stressful moments between June and now, but through it all, the house waited. I neglected to mention in my original post that I had been quietly watching this house sit for sale for about a year before we even looked at it; the list price at that time, however, was high. The price was reduced multiple times, and by the time we were looking to buy, it was right on point. I was sure we would lose the house as we waited for the couple buying our old house to get their deal straight, but we didn't. I was so relieved to get copies of all of the signed paperwork today. If anything has ever been 'meant to be,' I feel like it's this. I felt at home the moment I walked into it, and I'm just amazed everything worked out the way it has.
The cobwebs are worth braving, in this case.
Don, it's in Madison, Indiana: http://visitmadison.org/ ...Check it out. The entire downtown portion, which is where the house is located, is like a time warp back to the 19th Century. My kind of place, for sure.

Thanks, Diane! That downtown is what made me fall in love with the area. The first time I was there, I knew I had to eventually own a home there.
I get the keys to it tomorrow! I'll have a bunch of pictures to share by the end of this weekend.

Congradulations, looks like all you need to do is move the furniture and enjoy.
