I had been away from OHW for a while and see that the ship is sinking, so here I am! Howdy all!
I haven't had much time to post since last summer but we are still getting things done around the house. We got our fence and mailbox done last fall and did the kitchen gas range install I had been asking about.
This spring its the start of window re glazing, raised bed gardens, and maybe - just maybe, brick patio work if budget allows.
Oh and Catherine (mrs. jharkin) has ideas for repainting the entire interior again

Re: Alright, Im here :)
I forget that probably a lot of you wont know me from OHW.
About me - 36 year old mechanical engineer, who works at a big software company outside Boston. I'm married to a wonderful woman named Catherine, and we have two lovely children - 2 year old fraternal twins Joey and Juliet.
Our house is an small 3 bedroom Cape on a half acre we bought in 2009 in the western burbs of Boston. Town lists the build date as 1795, but our research dates it as probably a bit later, maybe 1820/1830ish. We have done a ton of work to it the last few years with a lot of help from the membership here, mostly undoing the mistakes of previous owners but also doing some restoration like putting back the original interior doors that where all in storage with reproduction hardware, etc.

It will take a while, but we'll get the resources and info up to what it was in our last home.

Howdy Warren!
I think i'll need a cheat sheet to for the folks who picked new names over here.
Jade, soon I will need to pick your brain about options to replace the aluminum spring tracks on some of these windows I'm going to reglaze.... ( the upstairs windows with original weights don't need any work )
