Love to see a new forum. I'm from Alton, IL and live just 2 blocks from the Mississippi. We moved to this house in 1979 and still have tons to do on it. When we moved in, I was a new teacher and young wife, no children. I'm now a retired widow and live here with my two (twenty something) kids and my six year old grandson. I still love the house.
Here is what I got done this summer.

Wow, You have accomplished a lot in such a short time. Nice job Isn't it nice when something is finished and you can look and admire the restored look.

Great job on the exterior. I have a tall chimney also. May I ask what you had done to yours? I suspect ours needs to be rebuilt from the roof up. We have a fancy set of brickwork on the top which we definitely want again.
