Lookin' good JRC! So glad to see the progress. I LOVE the blue/green color - will you paint the ceiling white? So pretty, and really shows off the woodwork!

Thanks!

Yes, I like white ceilings, so they'll all probably be white.

More painting: (although, my camera didn't seem to capture the colors too well. :| )

JRC, it's amazing what some elbow grease soapy water and a coat of paint will do. Puts whole new life into your home.

This weekend, I painted the kitchen cabinets:

I also painted the downstairs bathroom:

Because, I like to paint the ceilings white first, I bought a quart of kitchen/bath paint that, without tint, I assumed was white. Instead if was like painting with milk, so I mixed it with some old, leftover kitchen/bath paint I had from the current house, and painted the walls first.

I'm also continuing to add some homey touches, like curtains. :)

Sorry for the blur, but this most accurately captured the colors.

And finally, the city is becoming very impatient for exterior improvements. So, even though I can't really afford it, I have a verbal agreement with a neighbor to do a quick paint job on the house. I also ordered the new porch columns:

Its really coming alone nicely. Today I moved some curtains into my bedroom project and it instantly became "homey", so I know how that feels! I like your colors.

Thanks! It is amazing how big some small changes/additions feel.

More and more ooooh's and aaahhh's from me! The kitchen looks great - all of your colors are wonderful. I love the curvy detail on the trim under the entryway window on your column picture - the columns are great too, sorry, I get distracted easily ;) Fun stuff, thanks for keeping us posted!!

Thanks!

I wouldn't call that easily distracted, just observant.
