Wallpaper removal without damaging paper?

Reminds me of the room above my bedroom, last year... you definitely don't want to recreate that though. There was water gushing down through each and every crack in the plaster and the woodchip paper on the ceiling came down in entire strips while we were watching (or actually trying to keep the water away from the floor).
