What a dandy abode! Just take due precautions with your old paint and you'll be fine! Be sure to clean up thoroughly, and if you have little ones around, do the work when they are off at Grandma's or someplace. We had old lead paint on every wall on the house growing up, and I think I managed to live through it.

Also, I was wondering if there are some good references to learn more about older houses? I'm not familiar with a lot of jargon that's used here. Eventually we may want to redo some things, so it would be nice to know how things should look.

best way to decode the jargon here is to just ask us, we wont think any less of you :)
