Good thing indeed, Phil. From what I read, the hair was actually crimped with hot irons to help fluff it. The hair that was used came from their manes. (Not sure why not the tails.)

I am endlessly thankful of the patience homes and furnishings have. Now electronics and plumbing? They're not nearly as patient. ;-)
