Thinking a little out of the box but would chewing gum work? it stands up pretty well on the sidewalk ;-) Seems like a strange idea I know but how about for when a little chunk is missing?

You used to be able to find a ton of dried gum on the undersides of school desks when I was a kid. I think it was the bubblegum that came in baseball cards, which was always a jaw buster to chew to start with. Ah only 50 years ago...........
