Greek Revival: Wallpaper or paint?

CW, as you may be aware, the best parlour was often the fanciest room in the home. I’ll bet under all that white paint there is some nice wood. Depending on wall construction, I think a nice paper would be expected. On roof, paint a complimentary colour and very fencing stencilling. I would also lean to keeping the window, it’s old, installed a long time ago and it lets lots of light.
