The stencils look great. That's a lot of ladder/scaf time put in there.

The stairs look amazing.

Nicely done overall.

Thanks everyone! The Mrs. and I are getting our stencil process down, which is good because we have the back parlor and dining room yet to do.

I had a epiphany at the paint counter at the home cheap-o that made stenciling go much quicker. They use a hair dryer to dry the color thumbprint of paint they put on the top of the paint can. I used my wife’s hair dryer to dry the paint enough to do the next stencil which allowed me to keep moving. She was less then enthused though when I dropped it the full two stories and it exploded to bits on the floor below.

I’ll post back when we start the back parlor.

I agree, and like the colors you've used in the stairwell and upstairs hall. Calm, warm and inviting. I also like the black-and-white photo of the cat in the doorway. Nothing in the photo (except, perhaps, the unusual position of the photographer) puts it in the present.
