Photos from today that I hope illustrate what I am talking about.

The back of the fence, which had paint touch-ups last spring, as of today:

The front of the fence, with loose paint scraped off, and one panel almost completely heat-stripped:

personally I'd build a different fence rather than deal with that, but I think it would be funny if you put doorknobs on them all and matched the one with the panes. that way no one else would know which one actually opens lol..

I completely stripped two doors, sanded them, then painted one with an interior/exterior adhesion primer, and the other with an oil primer, then painted them both with the same flat black oil paint. I scraped off all the loose paint then touched those areas up. It looks acceptable.

Time will tell which primer is the winner.

I just have to say - that's a pretty cool way to do a fence.
