Jango radio is my companion in the shop and usually on the job site. I move back and forth between Allman Borthers radio, David Crowder radio, and Tony Rice radio stations.

I like to set my iphone to a band and listen from first album to current, so I might hit 13 albums worth of REM or 8 albums worth of Smashing Pumpkins. Sometimes I'll throw on an opera like Mozart's Marriage of Figaro or Requiem.
Today, I'm still in Bowie land. What a legacy.

REM's early stuff is especially good. It's kinda punk/garagey.
Oh gosh, Bowie.... I cried for days after his death. It was just so staggering that such a creative force left this world.

Lately when I work on the house I like to do what I call Home Reno Disco. I pick the happiest electronic dance music and then I mix a small pitcher of Manhattans and rock out while I repair plaster. I'm a huge fan of The Hundred in the Hands' self titled album for this.
Also great for reno work is The Smiths and pretty much any electro-swing.

I'm not a big fan of EDM, (Depeche Mode is about as electronic as I get) but that is a pretty good song there. Thanks for sharing. I'm surprised anyone still makes videos anymore since MTV stopped having anything to do with music in about 1997. :)

Early REM certainly is great, but I love everything they've done. Like any great band around for a long time, they changed and many early fans didn't like the later stuff. But for me the pinnacle of their creative years came with Out of Time and Automatic for the People (my personal fav).

Yes, Bowie was one hell of a force. Blackstar turned out to be a great farewell.
