Please, let me get through Thanksgiving before I have to start thinking about the next holiday. There are people in my neighborhood with lights on already and Christmas trees lit up inside!

very pretty southernlady, nice and tastefully done....

my house is such a wreck that I won't even let my friends visit...no decorations inside but lights and a tree on the porch...
my shop is on the main drag so I will indulge with two outdoor trees with purple lights...

I LOVE lights and trees but the week after thanksgiving is when I can begin to appreciate them...radio stations already playing music and wreaths have been at grocery stores for weeks now...ugh....

Exactly.... I have friends on my facebook feed posting about the "thankschristmas gifts" they put under the tree for their kids today. Bad enough the retail industry does this to us... I dont need any more of it.

Guilty as charged,

Tree already up, (wife issue), always have put lights up Friday after Thanksgiving.

Having our Thanksgiving on Saturday because I feed others today, (work), plus out of towners arriving.

So...I'm bored, putting a few lights up today, just porch, and two flower pots in front, plus my window candle deals.

Film at 11.

Oh...Happy Thanksgiving!

Even worse when we do it to ourselves. Stop the madness! :wtf:

Anyway, enjoy your Thanksgiving everyone. I hope you all eat until you are about to burst, enjoy good company, and remember something that you are thankful for. I for one am thankful for a spam-free old house forum where I can hang out with people who "get me". :)
