For five years, I've poured my heart and soul into a house in which I had no intention of living. But I saved it for another generation, and today I listed it. Here's the listing:

Bonnie, the results certainly show you efforts, another old home saved. How fast do you drive in your driveway to require speed bumps?

I think they were put there to divert rainwater from getting into the garage.

You've done such a beautiful job, and I'm surprised it isn't sold already!

Thank you, Gina. We are listing for a week, but not accepting offers until next Thursday. We know it's going to generate multiple offers, so I didn't think it necessary to accept the first one. The first showing was last night, and they are coming back today for a second showing, so I'm pretty sure they'll put in an offer. It's very exciting!

Good luck with the sale! Hopefully you'll get a few offers in and can take your pick.

Thank you! There are already at least 5 on the table and the deadline isn't until Thursday pm. I won't let my agent tell me what the offers are, but she said the price could set a record for the area!

Wow! What's driving the market in that area right now? I know you're a little to the south of Knoxville, not too far from the Smokies.

Re: I listed my house today!
I'm really not sure, but we have been suffering from a serious lack of affordable housing for a number of years. A lot of it is investors, but it's also folks moving here from other parts of the country. I know there are offers from Texas and California and maybe other places. I really don't want to sell to an investor to rent out.
