Not sure the gender references would fly in today’s world but the ideas are sound and practical.
One other item, in the beginning it mentions that this design is a retrofit for an older farm home. Also, notice the stove (range) has a sunken burner for boiling, I don’t think I have ever seen a vintage stove with that option.

As a mid century kitchen fan it was nice seeing mom cooking a nice meal for a dinner while my dad was coming home tired as hell from hunting mastodon. Yep that’s something In a kitchen I can reminisce about.

Maybe an electric pencil sharpener for use with the mid century form of IPad, the note pad.

That kitchen plan also works fairly well with the typical efficiency triangle.

I think the electric is for things like a toaster and maybe a coffee warmer. Might even be useful for keeping a crock pot plugged in to keep stew warm, I also recall my grandparents having an electric roll basket at one point, that would keep them warm throughout dinner.

40 pounds of flour at the ready. I wonder if they ever had issues with those little moths? I had them a couple of times and it was a maddening experience.

That’s a lot of bread and pie shells Phill. But at the time this film was made, most of the baking was home baking.
