Ikea used to run this ad, which probably resulted in them getting a bad rep from environmentalists. it was funny, but it also brought to light a larger issue, the amount of crap Ikea has sold over the years that is now filling our landfills at an alarming rate.

as one who often finds things on craigsist free I sure do see a lot of their garbage posted for free but because it's all such garbage I never try to retrieve any of that. Its not even good for firewood. and it isn't Swedish, Its made in china crap sold under the impression it somehow relates to being Swedish. I somehow dont; think the idea of creating throwaway crap on such a massive scale is very Swedish.
Ikea changed their tune ;-)
