First pic,
just look at the size of that earthenware vase with stand
A very late Victorian solarium, notice the leaded interior window on the left side with a transom set up. Bet the other side of the wall is the main parlour.
The great tiles floor going beyond the doorway into the open garden covered with a persian rug.
Curious as to that pipe coming out of the floor on the right side mid picture though.

Nice Persian corner set up, a favourite of the mid to late Victorian decor
Don't think the home is electrified. Notice those great oil sconces on either side of the fire place
Heavy embroidery shades on the oil lamps and carpets draped over the tables.
A great rococo pier table and mirror set up directly across the view.
And an excellent example of how to hang multiple pictures from a single picture rail

Yes, that solarium is really something. How tall is that door ? And how high is the ceiling ? The fancy tile floors are nice, too. I'll bet everything at that home was pretty grand. The photo manages to give a casual snapshot look. I'd be afraid to move in that cluttered room, though.

Not sure if I have posted these before or not, but here are a few I have laying around. They were all taken in the same Vermont house circa 1890. The family who lived there were wealthy, but the house itself was fairly modest. The photos are in poor condition, but still interesting
