Very late 19-oughts or very early 1910s.

Around 1898 just after it was built. Looks like wood planks instead of the concrete sidewalk.

Here's a photo of our house that was published in an American architectural journal in 1897:

And another from pre-1930:

I love all of these original images; I'm envious.

I wish I had an image of my own to share. (maybe someday...) So far, fate has only teased me by providing an image of the church at the corner of my block:

My house is only 3 doors up from (to the left of) this church, but you can't actually see any of it.

Something everyone might want to try. An old postcard with a photo my house is on ebay quite regularly. Right now there is a photo of the original owner's children taken in the back yard of my place on there. There must have been companies that went through towns and took photos of prominent houses and businesses to make postcards out of. My little town had a population of at most 5,000 during it's heyday. Search for your town or the family name of previous owners and who knows, you might get lucky.

I found a few pictures of my house on the NYC library website. I believe they were taken in the 1880s. Joseph and Abigail (pictured) were the second owners. Joseph's father built the house around 1806;

Not a photo, but a postcard. We have one of this one and another one with awnings in place.

My Wife's family home in Dimmock, SD, taken in 1895. The family still owns and occupies the home.
