Corsetière, two lovely finds!

You probably don't want to strip this back down, and will have an easier time toning it down with the airbrush, but I'm sharing the below info for any future projects.

For the gold, have you experimented with different base coat colors? I had to paint an entire theatrical set gold once, and white as the base was a disaster as the final looked too brash. When we used a warm brown as the base, it came out much better.

hmmm! Good point, Lily!

I have a few more golds in my arsenal so we'll see what I can manage. Thankfully since I airbrushed it all, the layers are quite thin and will take another coat or too easily without looking thick.

Because I have a limited amount of patience, my strategy with something like this is to put in lower-wattage light bulbs. 8-)
