1884 Mason & Hamlin style 901. This has been a holy grail quest to get one of these. I'm in the midst of a lengthy restoration.

It's magnificent. Congratulations on finding one in such good condition (I think). It looks like Eastlake. Do you know its provenance?

i'm glad your quest was finally rewarded....a piece of art for sure....some folks look at it as the most tedious undertaking...I see it as a labor of love...enjoy!

These pics were taken in transit, it was picked by a pipe organ builder friend who knew I was looking for one. He emailed me the pics with no comment. My reply was instant- "How much?"
The pipes in the background, and the pipe crates all belong to my buddy. This is a big rare pump organ, sounded by brass reeds.
Built in 1884, for the insane price of $1200. Surfaced in a barn full of pipe organ parts and musical junk last year. The seller was a relative disposing of an estate;a collector of musical instruments.
It had some previous cleaning of inside surfaces, probably was playable 40 years ago, but now completely unplayable. I have high hopes.

It needed some cabinet parts duplicated, I did those first.

Really beautiful! I just saw someone was giving away a Square Grand piano and I am sorely tempted to pay to have it moved to my house but damn it is huge and I do not play.....yet! lol!
