Huge Doors w/Etched Glass in Toronto

Post by Willa »

The doors with the etched glass are 95" x 29.5". The seller's ad is unclear - is it $ 500.00 for all the doors or per door or per pair ? They are too big for my house but maybe someone here is Cinderella ?

These are nice. They may have been doors to a shop, or they could be from a fancy urban rowhouse. 1890s vintage I would say.

This type of large door was somewhat common in 1880's/1890's houses in Toronto, usually between the living room and dining room, or in the entrance foyer.

If I am not mistaken, I remember a particular house from this part of town that was for sale a few years back that had these doors. As house prices escalate in Toronto, so do modern reno's. Sad that someone would remove them , but at least they are selling them v.s. a dumpster send-off ?

As as today the listing is still active.
