As for the lead paint, I used to eat paint chips as a kid off my grandparents' porch door. Tasted like almonds. I'm still here! :P


Just saw this now!! Thanks for the explanation, SouthernLady! That makes sense.
Also, when we first moved in here my older son (then two years old) used to eat the lead paint chips that were hanging off too... gave me a heart attack! We took care of that problem asap after that! He's fine though ;)
