"Persian Red" Crane Fixtures (Windsor)

Postby Willa » Wed Jan 10, 2018 3:42 am

I spotted these and forwarded them to Manalto, hoping that the lid would fit his toilet but alas. His set is T'ang Red from Amereican Standard.

The price is great - $ 75.00 CAN.

I hope someone will snap these up to make a daring powder room.

Some reference for burgundy fixtures. They go all the way back to the 20's but this set is from the 50's:

Hope someone gets those who can use them!

Standard's first colored fixtures hit the market in 1927, I want to say. Other manufacturers quickly followed suit. I agree this set looks post-war. They would be just right for someone doing a "Space Age" restoration.

Nice to have the chrome legs; my Standard sink is a wall mount.

I'd love to see someone put these to use too. I think the dark color makes it adaptable to a variety of periods, if historical accuracy isn't critical.
