I have recently been lurking in on a British chat site. Ordinary old home folks just like us. Any how just like us they have thier pro's, one of them posted this stuff on chimney flashing.

thanks gothic! you have to be pretty precise to get that one piece flashing to work...makes sense that it is better than multiple pieces of step flashing...
