Hi All - New Member from OHW

Post by Chadzeilenga »

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum and wanted to introduce myself. I was an active member over on OHW back in 2008 when we purchased our 1904 Folk Victorian. Since then we've had 3 little ones added to the family  , short-sold my old condo (on market for 4yrs  ) and been working on restoring our home. The link in my signature should bring you to the pictures we took of the house when we bought it in 2008. I'll start posting some before/after pictures so the group can see our progress this far.
I have a few new questions now that we are starting on the outside of the house. I'll be sure to see what info I can find on them.

Chad, Annie. Welcome to our new home with your old home. Memory is a bit short so any thing you had posted before will be all new once again.

Thank you for the warm welcomes! Yes, 3 little ones (5, 3 & 1) have kept us busy. We've been gradually getting the interior rooms done, finally starting on the exterior projects while it's still warm out. I spent most of the weekend on the latest project. Here are a few pictures. I'll upload the finished product later this week.

Funny thing, I dusted off some sealed bags of Sarco glazing putty dated 2010 and they were just like new.

First coat of color is going on, all sashes will be a satin black and then the storms/entry doors will be a dark blue-green Yorktowne Green. Any thoughts on this combo? For now we are just going to paint the Triple tracks this color as storms aren't in the budget yet. Does anyone have an experience painting triple tracks? They are already painted the peach color, but I'm wondering how much of them to paint?
