So I have not been on this site in a loooonnng time. We actually sold our house (1900 Neo classic) last year and we bought a 1951 brick ranch. (boring). I loved my old house but the stairs were getting to these old knee's and the dogs too. We lost our sweet Thor ( German Shep) a month ago and it sure is lonely here. Not much going on here at the "ranch". Getting ready to do a remodel of the bathroom ( built on in 70's). but that is about it.

Sundine, no need to apologize. At some point Gothichome will be too much for us as well. A 1951 rancher qualifies as an old home in my opinion. Post away.

I agree with Gothichome; have you posted pictures of your "Ranch"?

My last house was a 50s ranch style tract home, and I loved it and had a great time fixing it up too. I think you should share pictures also!
