1916 Bungalow

Post by mkiehn20 »

Hello! My name is Meg. My husband and I just moved back to my hometown in the Midwest. I've always loved old houses and knew that one day I would have one of my own. We just put an offer in on an adorable front gable bungalow and I am so excited to start getting my hands dirty! I know I'll learn a lot from this forum.

Interesting fact: I found an exterior photo of a house in Houston, TX, that is almost identical to "our" house!

Yours os a little wider than mine but I bet the same vintage, mine is 1914.

Good luck! Love the trees in the front...I'll bet they provide some nice shade in the summer!

Welcome!

Since there's another house that's almost identical, it might be either a kit house or a plan book house. Definitely worth researching.

Thanks for the warm welcome! The sellers officially accepted our offer today, so we are on our way owning this beauty!

I would love to see if it's a kit home. Once I have more extra time on my hands, I'll do some research. :)
