Sadly, they took that mantle clock. But we have another that will fit nicely there, my father just doesn't know it yet.

All hands on deck today! My wife's family made a trip and put in a solid 8 hours from 9-5. We got the ENTIRE house free of wallpaper. This includes both the upstairs and downstairs hallways and two bed rooms. We also got up the entire rug in that area as well. Huge progress. Full blog post to follow tomorrow, but suffice to say we found more cool stuff and clues about the house's history.

Charming home!

I get the sense you've already ripped out your kitchen linoleum, so it may amuse you to know that we have the same pattern in green and would do just about anything if we could restore it.

Looks like a nice spacious foyer there! Must feel great to get all of that wallpaper off. Make sure you take pictures of the old stuff and maybe even save some of the old wallpaper styles for posterity if you can. But this is just the historian in me speaking...

Ober, the whole house peeled! Wow. How many layers were there to deal with. I see two in the pic. How is the plaster, in reasonable good condition? What did you find under the retro carpet? Look forward to more pics.
