I apologize for the delay in responding! I have been given a clean bill of health - cancer free. I go for MRIs moving forward and pray that it never returns. The cure rate for Hodgkin's Lymphoma is excellent so I am very hopeful.

As for the house, thank you! We love the radiators, especially when you leave your PJs on them prior to bed. Small things in life, for sure. I know I promised to post some pics, but I just haven't done it. No excuses, just laziness. I will post a couple pics below of the before and after of our coziest room at this point - the living room.

This is the hallway under the stairs. This sconce matches the ones in the living room, posted below. Circa 1900 wrought iron with new mica shades made to order.

This picture is how we keep it most often. The right sconce needs to be taken often and the box reinforced in the wall. Until a few days ago we had pigtails, so this is an improvement! You cannot see the nice 1900 arts and crafts rocker we pics up at the Elephant's Trunk Flea Market in CT over the summer/fall. Sturdy and comfy. We still need to decorate but the two pieces we have are authentic to the time period. More on that later.

Ober, wonderful news! Here's to a new lease on life in 2018!

Your house looks so cozy and comfy. Wish I had that roaring fire right about now. There's a reason I'm as far north as I'm ever going to go. It isn't supposed to be this cold here!

I am pretty terrible at updating my adoring fans, but here are a few pictures of some items that have made their way into our home. Thehandwerkshop.com does great work on shades. I highly recommend. My brother, Matt, found me us a great bathroom mirror that really enhances the 1/2 bath (now we need to actually get the sink working!).

Looks good! Warm and inviting. I particularly like the stenciled shades, especially the ginkgo.

Don't worry, the adoration continues.

Ober, the shades look beautiful, and I love the stencils. James, you beat me to it; I was going to show off my extensive knowledge of ginkgo leaves, but now it just looks like I only know because you said they were.

And that medicine cabinet is gorgeous! Great details. It's unusual to see one that isn't painted white.

Bonnie, that angled edge around the mirror is called beveling. We call that a "beveled mirror." Stick around and learn!
