Ok recently started cleaning, oiling entry way and dining room. Have not tried the tung oil on the worn parts of the floor as I was hoping to hear from experience of those that have used it first.

Tony, stay away from the Murphy's and the Lemmon oil. Not familiar with the Watco rejuvenator but if it's like the stuff we've tried just forget it as well. From the general postings I think the tung oil is the way to go.

Tony, great looking window work. I like your colour selection. Do the rest like that and you’ll be the envy of the block.
How did your floors work out?

Wondering what purpose this would have severed? It is located in the basement. Seems to be a fireplace or coal burning stove.

Looks to be an ash door. Your fireplace will have a hole or slot to the back of the hearth. The fireplace ash would be swept into it. Every once a s a while you would clean out the ash dump.

Reinstalling my attic floor..

This picture is looking down through the wall from above in the attic.

Anyhow I have a curved wall at the front of my upstairs foyer.

Here is the back side of the wall. In the picture you can see how the carpenter formed this curve.

That's an interesting photo showing construction methods.
