The old board was just dead. I never did really care all that much for it compared to the one we frequented prior to it. Oh well.
What's happening at the Big Pile of Bricks? We're getting ready to paint rooms again, which means more plaster repairs. And I'm painting and weather stripping my wooden storms after ten years of good service. I learned some lessons from my first install and I'm hoping to do a thread on some of the pitfalls I've discovered. The roof is mostly complete but I do have some punch list stuff that needs attention. Oh, and the wife sold all our furniture in the down stairs so we're shopping really hard right now.

Glad you made it here! Why did your wife sell all your furniture; sounds like an interesting story. The fellow who grew up in our house said his mother use to sell select pieces near Christmas so she could buy presents.

She's that way. We've been 18 years on the same old furniture, most of which was used when we got it. So at last we're going to have some comfortable and coordinated stuff to sit on. So I get to do a lot of painting and stuff before Christmas. I'm getting my very own power recliner. I guess that goes with my new AARP card.
