Hi,
I moved over here from another forum by the advice of one of your members and an old friend from another forum. I'm about 8 years into the restoration of the James Vincent house, a NHR property in La Crosse, WI. Much of the most critical work has been done but the projects never end. That's okay because I feel like it's not as much a chore but a lifestyle. I enjoy the challenges that come with being a preservationist. I recently resigned my position on the board of directors of our local preservation organization and have been spending the summer working on integrating a guest house property with the main house. Dozens of other small projects fill my days. I love seeing pictures of others projects and look forward to getting to know the group here. I hope to be able to contribute some at times. I love telling my stories (the story of the house and more) through pictures. I hope you will enjoy seeing and hearing about my projects. As I said earlier it's now a lifestyle, even more than that it has become a real part of my life, my identity, as I'm sure it is for most of you.
Thanks for having me here!

Alooha!
I hope your health has been holding up-it's been a weird summer for Asthma here.
If you still have it, you ought to re-post your essays about toilets-I recall you did a very thorough presentation on them back at OHW.

Hi Dan,
Good to see you again on a forum! I see that house is still looking beautiful, as if it could ever be anything but.
