My boyfriend and I just bought a house and I have been trying to figure out it's design and what it originally looked like. I read your forums and started investigating and I believe it's Italianatte style❤ It was starting to be updated but was sold which I am grateful for because they were hiding her beauty excited to see what treasurer I find❤❤ I will post pictures soon and of course I havye many questions and guidance❤ Thank you

Congratulations on your new house. I'm a big fan of Italianate houses, with their long windows. The reality of most North American houses after the U.S. Civil War is that they are often a blend of styles. The word "eclectic" covers a big proportion of houses from the 1870s to the 1930s.
